The area is home to many breathtaking natural trails. The trails are perfect for a walk through nature, or a more strenuous hike that will get your heart pumping. Foxstone Loop Trail
This trail takes you through the woods from the park entrance to the bridge crossing the stream. Along the way, you’ll pass babbling brooks, twisting trails, and century-old trees. The trail ends at a bridge crossing over the stream and continues another 200 yards into Vienna Woods.
Gorge Trail
This trail follows the path of an old railroad and the Rockbridge River. You’ll walk along the banks of the river and through thickets of rhododendrons, azaleas, and hemlocks. This is one of the most popular trails at Foxstone Park.
Rock Loop
This is one of the most scenic trails at Foxstone Park. It winds through the woods and past rocky outcroppings and clear streams. The trail is a great place to take a picnic and explore the natural wonders of Foxstone Park. You’ll also find a few benches and picnic tables at various points along the way.
Boardwalk Trail
This trail loops through the woods with a wooden boardwalk taking you through the forest, along the Rockbridge River and past a waterfall. There are also some benches and picnic tables along the way.

This trail is named for the two Virginia cities that comprise the trail. It starts on the Fredericksburg end and goes to the Spotswood end of the park. Along the way, you’ll pass old growth trees and a cascading waterfall.
