Leesburg is a fast-growing, small town located in central Virginia. With a population of just over 10,000 people, it’s a great spot for anyone who wants to be in a small town with a thriving community. Leesburg is the home of the Western Army Recruiting Command – aka “Western” - the third largest branch of the US Army. That means you’re guaranteed a large military presence in the city and surrounding areas, which means lots of military-friendly resources and opportunities for civilians like you. The city is also home to several small businesses that have grown to fill a niche in Leesburg’s small business community. They have friendly customer service, excellent products, and a commitment to their employees.  Here’s our list of favorite spots in the Leesburg area:

What to do in Leesburg, VA

The Leesburg area is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon. Some of the best places to visit in Leesburg include the Leesburg Park and Pool and Stadium of the University of Virginia. If you love art and history, be sure to check out the Jefferson Theater and the Performing Arts Center. If you’re looking for a great outdoor activity, you can go biking on the Blue Ridge Parkway, visit a winery, or hike on nearby mountains. If you want to spend some time with friends and family, there are plenty of places to do so. You can go to a baseball game, explore a city park, or visit a museum.

Leesburg Park and Pool

One of the best things to do in Leesburg is spend some time at the Leesburg Park and Pool. This pool is located on the outskirts of town and is open spring through fall. The pool itself is a great place to spend time, and features a diving board, waterslide, and a lazy river. This pool is also home to several aquatic programs for kids and teens. If you enjoy swimming, you can try different strokes, get a good workout, or just relax and float around. With a sandy beach area, a toddler pool, and a splash pad, you can find something to fit any mood.

Stadium of the University of Virginia

If you’re visiting the Leesburg area, you should definitely check out the Stadium of the University of Virginia. This football stadium is the home of the Virginia Cavaliers, and is one of the most famous venues in the country for college football. If you’re a sports fan, this is a trip you don’t want to miss. The Jefferson Theater

The Performing Arts Center is a beautiful performing arts center located in downtown Leesburg. This center is home to many performances throughout the year, including shows that are family-friendly. The center also hosts weddings, parties, conferences, and other events that make it a great place to have a party or get together with family and friends. They also have a large parking lot, making it easy to get to and easy to leave your car while you do other activities downtown. This is a beautiful venue with plenty to do, and you can relax knowing that it’s a safe and fun environment to enjoy a performance or party with your family and friends.

The Grove at Ravensworth Farm

The Grove at Ravensworth Farm is one of our favorite places in the Leesburg area. This is a beautiful garden located just outside of Leesburg, and is owned by the Ravensworth family. This is a peaceful, beautiful place to walk, relax, and enjoy the scenery. The Grove at Ravensworth Farm is a wonderful place to visit in the Leesburg area.

Shops and Restaurants in the Area

There are plenty of shops and restaurants in the Leesburg area that we recommend, so here’s a list of some of our favorites:
